ESCAPE Projects Symposium 2023

Plurilingual Pedagogies & Digital Technologies to Support Learning in STEM

This conference showcases applied research related to language-friendly pedagogy and digital technologies in elementary and secondary classrooms and schools. The ESCAPE Projects research team has collaborated with teachers, students, policy makers, teacher educators and international researchers to create opportunities for multilingual newcomer students and their families to integrate and thrive in schools and together they have explored the impact of language friendly pedagogy.

  1. My students don’t understand the school language enough to learn Maths. What should I do?/Mes élèves ne comprennent pas suffisamment la langue de l’école pour apprendre les mathématiques. Que dois-je faire ?

  3. I do not know that my students have received some education in STEM but they do not seem to understand what we are doing in class.
