In October of 2024, our team member Ye Jia joined the collaboration project of international curriculum mapping with researchers from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Our well-established category system for organizing mathematics and science curricula laid the groundwork for a detailed comparison between the Ontario and Berlin school systems. This collaboration led to the collection and update of Berlin’s curriculum data on the ESCAPE website, enhancing global curriculum resources and fostering cross-border educational insights.
A major highlight was translating and uploading the ESCAPE family portal into German, empowering German-speaking parents to access valuable resources and better understand school system comparisons. The ESCAPE project research findings and methodologies became the foundation for an upcoming joint paper proposal. The collective energy and commitment of everyone involved have propelled the project forward, and we are thrilled to see how these efforts continue to bridge international education systems!
