  • At ESCAPE Projects, our mission is to empower educators with the tools and knowledge needed to support multilingual learners effectively. During our workshop, our team provides targeted support to help educators in:

    • Understanding Multilingual Learners: Gain insights into the diverse linguistic backgrounds and learning needs of your multilingual students to foster an inclusive educational environment.

    • Practicing Language-Friendly Pedagogy: Implement linguistically and culturally responsive pedagogy, ensuring all students can thrive.

    • Assessing Your Multilingual Learners Effectively: Learn how to evaluate the progress of multilingual learners accurately, taking into account their unique challenges and strengths.

    • Duration: 1.5 hour
    • Costs: $200 

     

    At your school:

    • Duration: 2 hour
    • Costs: $500 + travel expenses (gas)

  • The ESCAPE Projects team is dedicated to empowering families of multilingual students, helping you to navigate the Ontario educational landscape. We provide resources and guidance to:

    • Understanding and Accessing the Ontario Curriculum: Learn how to navigate the educational system and understand the curriculum your child is being taught, ensuring you can follow their academic journey effectively.

    • Supporting Your Child in Math and Science Learning at Home: Utilize your and child’s prior knowledge and experiences! Discover practical tips and resources to help your child excel in math and science, enhancing their learning experience beyond the classroom.

    • Communicating with Teachers and School: Gain strategies for effective communication with your child’s teachers and school staff to advocate for and support your child’s educational needs.
